Learn to Skate
Great Bay will be offers Learn to Skate Classes for all ages.  Classes will be held on
Saturday mornings at the Dover Ice Arena.

Learn to Skate Classes will be held from
9:20-10:15 on Saturdays. Want to play
hockey?  Our Learn to Skate classes teach the skating skills needed to get ready for
beginning hockey - stops, turns, forward and backward skating, and more.  Classes
will also prepare skaters for figure skating, synchronized skating, or just having fun at
public skate.

NEW session of classes begins Saturday, February 11th.   All
beginning skaters should plan to attend  class at 9:20 am.   Plan to
arrive at
least 20 minutes early on the first day of class.  Beginning
adult skaters should plan to attend class at 8:25 am.

Classes include 45 minutes of instruction by certified instructors and 10 minutes of
open practice time.  Four sessions will be offered. Each session is 5 or 6 weeks long.
Cash, Check, Visa or MC are accepted.

After completing the intro levels,
skaters can progress to more
advanced classes.
  • All students in the Basic Learn to Skate class must wear a helmet
    and gloves.  Either figure skates or hockey skates may be worn.
  • Learn to Skate students who are learning to skate for hockey are
    welcome to wear their hockey helmets and gloves.
